About
I am a certified Yoga Instructor for children, teens, menopause, seniors, and people living with cancer, and also bereavement via mindful grieving yoga therapy. I live with my husband and four children in Somerset where I practice some of my classes and courses face to face.
I’m also a qualified personal trainer, Pilates, and group exercise instructor.
I have been involved in sport and fitness all my life. Being a farmer's daughter, most of my time was spent outside. Yoga and fitness are my passion.
I worked in engineering and robotics sales for 14 years, until one of my closest friends was diagnosed with a rare and very aggressive skin cancer. This changed my perception and priorities in my life, making the decision to make my passion my career.
Since that day I’ve never looked back. Being able to help so many people with their physical, mental and emotional health through Yoga and fitness - both group and one to one - is such an amazing gift.
My training is very personal to me. Having four children myself, yoga for children was my first specialist yoga training. As they grew older, I did the Teen Yoga Foundation yoga training.
Being in my forties, Menopause Yoga training was a godsend. And having an elderly mother, I understood the importance of yoga for seniors.
The Mindful Grieving Yoga Therapy training came after my two eldest daughters lost their stepmother in a car crash; the schools and health system had no form of support. My children were expected to just move on with their lives, but grief stays with you forever.
Finally, I have now completed two separate courses Yoga for Cancer and Oncology Yoga for Cancer (with the amazing Tari Prinster of Y4C). As most of us will experience or be affected by cancer in our lifetime, I want to be able to help cancer patients to gain control of their lives and rebuild confidence in their bodies.
